Child Profile Missing Data

This report will assist supervisors and family support workers with identifying missing or incorrect data to ensure a complete and correct dataset is represented.

The section below contains information about each tab in the Iowa FSSD Report.

Reminder: Primary Caregivers and children under the age of 6 with profiles and assessments entered into DAISEY are included in this report. The data only reflects families that are actively enrolled during the date range selected in the filter.

“Active/Inactive” status in DAISEY does not apply determine who is counted in this report. Meaning, because a Child or Primary Caregiver is entered as “Inactive” does not exclude them from these reports.

Instructions for accessing underlying client level data and downloading PDF versions of reports are available in the DAISEY Technical Assistance Brief – How to Use DAISEY Reports.

What does this report represent

The data in this report represents fields that have missing answers (left blank) in the corresponding form in DAISEY. The missing data in each bar will be represented by a yellow box and the completed fields are represented by a gray box.

Using Filters

Details

Form: Child and Primary Caregiver Profiles

Questions considered: Child Name, Date of Birth, Race, Ethnicity, Has a current IFSP or IEP, Enrollment Date and Discharge Date for the Primary Caregiver.

Who is counted: All children under the age of 6 who are actively enrolled anytime during the date range selected. This includes children whose Primary Caregiver was discharged from services during the date range selected. Please note that the enrollment data used in DAISEY reports is always taken from the primary caregiver rather than the child’s profile.

Notes:

  • This dashboard shows an Overall rate of missing data for the organizations and/or programs the user has access to in DAISEY. Use filters to see more program specific data.
  • By hovering over the “Overall” label on the top-left bar graph, a plus (+) sign will appear. The user can drill down into the organization, program, home visitor, and child ID by continuing to select “+” that appears over the name (Fig.2). The last column will be the Child ID for children who are missing fields in their profile. To remove those filters, select “Revert” at the bottom of the screen or select “-“ where the “+” previously appeared.
  • The fields on the right represent fields in the child profile in DAISEY. Correcting the missing fields can be done in the child profile in DAISEY.
  • For example, in Fig. 3, 26.5% of the Name field is blank (missing) in the child profiles that were saved/submitted in DAISEY during the date range selected. To view the children missing the Name field, review the underlying data table; view the column headers showing _Child to determine the specific child missing this field.
